{"id":120,"date":"2012-10-06T20:14:35","date_gmt":"2012-10-07T00:14:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/veg\/?p=120"},"modified":"2012-10-08T00:31:48","modified_gmt":"2012-10-08T04:31:48","slug":"the-fruits-and-veggies-of-our-labor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/veg\/2012\/10\/06\/the-fruits-and-veggies-of-our-labor\/","title":{"rendered":"The fruits (and veggies) of our labor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Vassar Experimental Garden is getting off to a wonderful start this fall!<\/p>\n<p>So far, we have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Weeded every nook and cranny of the garden<\/li>\n<li>Planted seeds for season extension<\/li>\n<li>Installed cold frames and hoop houses<\/li>\n<li>Labeled the beds with adorable signs<\/li>\n<li>Constructed a new compost receptacle<\/li>\n<li>Organized and cleaned our tool shed<\/li>\n<li>And of course, harvested a delicious bounty of herbs, butternut squash, bell peppers, eggplant and tomatillos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Whew!<\/p>\n<p>Remember&#8211;everyone in the Vassar community is invited \u00a0and encouraged to help out!<\/p>\n<p>We work in the garden every <strong>Saturday <\/strong>from<strong> 2-5 PM<\/strong>.
