We are partnering with them for our <a href=\"http:\/\/refugeesolidarity.vassar.edu\/whatwearedoing\/digitalinitiative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">English Language Exchange<\/a> program.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.redi-school.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ReDI School of Digital Integration<\/a><\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/redi-vertical-main-logo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1253 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/redi-vertical-main-logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"118\" height=\"179\"\/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_7\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">ReDI School of Digital Integration is a non-profit digital school for tech-interested newcomers applying for asylum&nbsp;in Germany.&nbsp;They&nbsp;offer their&nbsp;students&nbsp;high-quality training and the chance to collaborate&nbsp;with the start-up and digital industry.We are partnering with them for our&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/refugeesolidarity.vassar.edu\/whatwearedoing\/digitalinitiative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">English Language Exchange<\/a>&nbsp;program. By joining the network, members like Vassar College send a powerful message in support of these goals and advances the global conversation on the importance of academic freedom to higher education quality and to society.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/cwspoughkeepsie.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Church World Service<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Partnering with local communities, CWS helps refugees get <a href=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/churchworldservice.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-880 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/churchworldservice-300x163.jpg\" width=\"188\" height=\"102\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/churchworldservice-300x163.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/churchworldservice-768x417.jpg 768w, https:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/churchworldservice-1024x557.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 188px) 100vw, 188px\" \/><\/a>involved and adjust in new communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jews4refugees.org\/\">Tristate Jewish Network for Refugee Support&nbsp;<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1444 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2018\/06\/jews4refugeeslogo-300x45.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"45\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2018\/06\/jews4refugeeslogo-300x45.png 300w, https:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2018\/06\/jews4refugeeslogo.png 527w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>This dedicated group is comprised of a variety of Jewish institutions in the New York Metropolitan Area who provide material to support the nearly 200 newly arrived refugees in the capital region of New York state (Albany and Schenectady). The Tristate Jewish Network recognizes the impact that groups from upstate New York have provided, but also understand how resources can become stretched.&nbsp;They wish to harness the drive and power of the many socially-engaged Jewish communities of New York City, Northern NJ, Westchester County, Rockland County and Southern Connecticut by mobilizing contributions from these communities to support existing upstate fundraising channels.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/catholiccharitiesny.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Catholic Charities&nbsp;of Poughkeepsie<\/a>&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/Screen-Shot-2016-03-30-at-5.45.35-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-677 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/Screen-Shot-2016-03-30-at-5.45.35-PM.png\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2016-03-30 at 5.45.35 PM\" width=\"189\" height=\"121\"\/><\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, Catholic Charities of Poughkeepsie focuses on protecting and nurturing children and youth, feeding the hungry and sheltering the homeless, strengthening families and resolving crises, supporting the physically and emotionally challenged, and welcoming and integrating immigrants and refugees.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/ruralmigrantministry.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rural &amp; Migrant Ministry<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/Welcome-to-RMM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-678 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/Welcome-to-RMM-300x48.png\" alt=\"Welcome-to-RMM\" width=\"300\" height=\"48\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/Welcome-to-RMM-300x48.png 300w, https:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/Welcome-to-RMM-500x80.png 500w, https:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/Welcome-to-RMM.png 878w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Part of the Episcopal Diocese of New York, the Rural &amp; Migrant Ministry has served to connect congregations in urban settings with its&nbsp;rural and migrant communities. The Ministry&#8217;s achievements included the creation of a childcare Headstart program, the development of several youth development programs that produced close to 100% high school graduation, and passing three pieces of state legislation that have improved conditions for New York&#8217;s farmworkers.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.multifaithalliance.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><a href=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/10f360_ab8bd57518ec429791f45e0f22894207.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-503 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/10f360_ab8bd57518ec429791f45e0f22894207.jpg\" alt=\"Layout 1\" width=\"186\" height=\"149\"\/><\/a>The Multifaith Alliance, a project run by the Tanenbaum Center for Inter-religious Understanding, is a US-based interfaith response to the Syrian refugee crisis. Its goal is to increase awareness and work for immediate and future alleviation of the humanitarian crisis in Syria. Made up of more than 50 affiliate organizations, the Multifaith Alliance draws on religious and civil society&#8217;s leaders who have moral authority to address the ongoing suffering of the Syrian people.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theglobalcitizensinitiative.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>The Global Citizens&#8217; Initiative<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-668 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/mac-img-global-development-150x150-300x170.png\" alt=\"mac-img-global-development-150x150\" width=\"208\" height=\"123\"\/><\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The Global Citizens&#8217; Initiative (TGCI) is an effort to build a network of people who see themselves as global citizens and want to build a better world. The initiative aims to build a group of leaders who can promote the practice of global citizenship engagement and advocate for policies and prog<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"> rams that reflect the values of a world community. TGCI is a member organization where people can access information about global citizenship issues, engage in global development advocacy efforts, and build their skills as global citizenship leaders.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iie.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">International Institute for Education<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/iie-logo.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-670 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/vcsolidarity\/files\/2015\/10\/iie-logo.png\" alt=\"iie-logo\" width=\"220\" height=\"82\"\/><\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Founded after World War I, this organization helped scholars fleeing Nazi Germany in the 1930s to find positions at US institutions (including Carleton College). In response to the Syrian refugee crisis, the &#8220;IEE is leading a consortium\u2014in partnership with Jusoor, the U.S. State Department, Kaplan Test Prep International, UC Davis Human Rights Initiative, and the Global Platform for Syrian Students\u2014of more than 35 higher education institutions around the world that have committed support for Syrian students and scholars, primarily in the form of full and partial scholarships.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Conversations Unbound Through Conversations Unbound, forcibly displaced individuals are empowered as paid online Arabic or Spanish language tutors for college students in the United States.
