Rohingya Project<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rohingya Project at Vassar College is a relief effort with a focus on the Rohingya refugee crisis. Our main goals are raising awareness of the Rohingya crisis and raising funds for relief efforts.<\/p>\n

Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Jonan Kiang ’21<\/strong> is a prospective International Studies major. He hopes to work in the international field to rectify economic issues<\/span> and have a hand in conflict resolution. He serves as the local representative in the Rohingya Project. Having spent a large amount of time in China, he speaks Chinese and English fluently.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> Samira Afreen ’21<\/strong> is a prospective Computer Science major with a correlate in Mathematics. She is the international representative of the Rohingya Project. She speaks Bangla, which is her first language.<\/p>\n

Event Coordination<\/strong><\/p>\n

Syed Mostofa \"\"<\/a>Moosa \u201821<\/strong> is a first-year prospective double major in Biology and Computer Science with a possible correlate in Film. He participates in VC++ and works in Vassar Media Resources. He is the event organizer for the Vassar Rohingya Project and speaks Bangla and English.<\/p>\n

Eura Ch\"\"<\/a>oi \u201821<\/strong> is a first-year prospective Computer Science major with a Biology correlate and devotes the rest of her energy to participating in the Vassar College Choir. She is the event coordinator for Vassar Rohingya Project. She speaks both English and Korean.<\/p>\n

Digital Initiative<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Jesus Garcia ’21<\/strong> is a first-year prospective double major in Computer Science and Economics. He manages Rohingya Project content on the Vassar Refugee Solidarity website. Jesus speaks Spanish fluently and studies Chinese with the intent of studying abroad in China his junior year.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Lingxiu Zhang \u201821<\/strong> is a first-year prospective double major in Cognitive Science and Film. He manages the Rohingya Project Facebook page, has been involved with the Vassar Robotics lab and practices the violin. He speaks both English and Mandarin.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Setse Bush \u201819<\/strong> is a junior Biology\/English double major. She is interested in pursuing medicine after graduation. She is also on the executive board of Femmes in STEM, and is frequently involved with student theater. Additionally, she does fieldwork at Hudson River Healthcare, and works closely with the group for postpartum mothers. She speaks Burmese and English.<\/p>\n

Jordan Chin \u201821<\/strong> is a first-year prospective Math and Economics major. He is also a member of the Vassar Haiti Project and speaks Jamaican Patois.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Tianyi Jiang \u201921<\/strong> is a first-year prospective Studio Art and Media Studies double major. As an international student from China, she is fluent in both Chinese and English.
