Introduction:

A group comprising 7 faculty members and 14 students embarked on a transformative two-week journey during spring break, delving into an immersive study expedition across diverse cities along the Yangtze River in China. Research endeavors encompassed an array of subjects, including urban planning in riverside locales, experimentation with crayfish-rice field dynamics, exploration of agricultural systems within the middle section of the Yangtze River valley, assessment of the Three Gorges Dam’s ramifications on local communities, and the conscientious development of ethical tourism initiatives.
