(See below, a repetition of the document of December 1, 1518, with an added sentence related to the last sentence of DOC.6 of the same date.)<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Die Mercurii 24 Novembris 1518<\/p>\n<p>Ad petitione del detto Iacopo di messer Lionardo da Cholle, cittadino fiorentino, el detto Signor uffitiale sedente pro tribunali, sedendo come di sopra, veduto et considerato una petitione et domanda et acusa di soldi due per lira data et facta in decta Corte per detto Iacopo insino ad\u00ec 5 del presente mese o altro pi\u00f9 vero d\u00ec, contro Baptista di Iacopo vocato Rosso dipintore.\u00a0 Et veduto uno termine di d\u00ec dieci assegnato al detto Baptista in detta causa [<i>etc.<\/i>].\u00a0 Et veduto un altro termine a detto Baptista assegnato in detta causa et accusa, di d\u00ec cinque proximi futuri [<i>etc.<\/i>].\u00a0 Et veduto la contumacia et inobedientia del detto Baptista, et la forma delli vigenti statuti et ordini [<i>etc.<\/i>], commise, impose et comand\u00f2 a Gobbo, messo di decta Corte, et a qualunche altro messo di detta Corte in tutto, che notifichi al detto Baptista il detto soprascritto tempo et termine a llui assegnato come di sopra, et che infra detto tempo et termine dia et paghi et debbi havere dato et paghato al detto Iacopo la detta quantit\u00e0 di sorte et spese in detta petitione il causa, altrimenti sar\u00e0 sbandito et condannato in soldi due per lira\u00a0 [<i>etc.<\/i>].<a href=\"#endref1\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Gino Corti informed me that there is a repetition of this document dated December 1, 1518, with an added last sentence:<\/p>\n<p>Die Mercurii prima Decembris 1518<\/p>\n<p>&#8230; Et veduto la contumacia et inobedientia di detto Baptista [<i>etc.<\/i>], chomand\u00f2 a Rossino di Benedetto, publicho banditore et prechone del Comune di Firenze [<i>etc.<\/i>] vadia in et per la citt\u00e0 di Firenze [<i>etc.<\/i>] el suono della tromba premesso, ad alba et intelligible voce precona bandischa et in bando ponglia il decto Baptista, condennato in soldi due per lira.<\/p>\n<div><br clear=\"all\" \/><\/p>\n<hr align=\"left\" size=\"1\" width=\"33%\" \/>\n<div><a name=\"endref1\"><\/a><sup>1<\/sup> This document is mentioned but not transcribed in Franklin, 1987, 662, Appendix B.\u00a0 Franklin does not mention the repetition of this document of December 1, 1518.\u00a0 See also Franklin, 1994, 52, 275-276, n. 65, 316.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The court again orders Rosso to pay his debt and if he does not (apparently within three days, see DOC.6) he will have to pay a fine of two soldi for each lire owed.
