There seems to be a gray underpainting.\u00a0 The Virgin\u2019s garment is red; her mantle is dark green.\u00a0 There is violet drapery around the Child\u2019s waist.<\/p>\n

PROVENANCE: Florence, Casa Da Filicaia.\u00a0 Florence, Charles Loeser Collection, Villa Gattaia.\u00a0 1928 bequeathed to the Comune of Florence, subject to life interest of Loeser\u2019s daughter, Matilda Sofia Loeser; placed in the Palazzo Vecchio in October, 1959 (La Nazione<\/em>, Florence, October 19, 1959).<\/p>\n
