The figure types in this etching are Rossoesque and the background cityscape with its obelisk also recalls his art.\u00a0 But there is no way of knowing to what extent the composition may be related to a lost image by Rosso himself.<\/p>\n

ENAMEL: Limosin.\u00a0 \u00c9couen, Ch\u00e2teau, Mus\u00e9e national de la Renaissance, Cl 904B (Fig.E.92, Enamel<\/a>).\u00a0 Oval, 34 x 26.<\/p>\n
