Paris, Ed 2d, petit in-folio.<\/p>\n<p>LITERATURE: Linzeler, 1932, 61.<\/p>\n<p>The two caryatids of this print are related to the triads of caryatids that flank the <em>Dana\u00eb<\/em> in the Gallery of Francis I.\u00a0 However, in the etching they are single.\u00a0 It is only in the most general sense that they are derived from Rosso\u2019s figures and are probably dependent upon either Fantuzzi\u2019s etching of this frame (<a href=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/rosso\/files\/2012\/04\/E.69-Triads-of-Female-Terms-Paris-Ed-8b-Res.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">Fig.E.69<\/a>) or upon the Milan-Boyvin engraving (<a href=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/rosso\/files\/2012\/04\/E.103-Nymph-Paris-Ba-12.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">Fig.E.103<\/a>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Etching by Jacques Androuet Du Cerceau.
