Vassar College Psi Chi is proud to host the 5th Annual Mid-Hudson Psychology Research Conference. This conference will showcase recent research by students in Psychology, Cognitive Science and Neuroscience in the Hudson Valley region.

Students can present their research (proposed, in progress, or completed) at a one-hour poster session and/or as a 15-minute oral presentation.

The conference will also feature a keynote address by Dr. Susan Fiske, Professor of Psychology at Princeton University. Dr. Fiske’s research addresses how stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination are encouraged or discouraged by social relationships, such as cooperation, competition, and power. Currently, she investigates emotional prejudices (pity, contempt, envy, and pride) at cultural, interpersonal, and neural levels.

Submissions: ***Submissions are due by midnight on March 13th.*** If you are interested in presenting a poster and/ or short presentation at the conference, please submit an application on the conference website under the heading: submissions. Registration: If you are interested in attending the conference,
whether or not you are submitting a presentation, please register at the conference website on the Registration tab. Early bird
registration is only $5, and is open until March 27th. Registration
includes attendance at the student presentations, keynote address and poster session. Students submitting presentation proposals and must also register. Please register early!
