Supporting Effective Communication with Co-workers in a Time of Transition and Change: Applying a Cross-Cultural Lens
April 22, 2:00 pm–4:00 pm
You will receive a Zoom link after registering.
This interactive workshop will offer techniques for strengthening communications skills among the Vassar administrators and staff focusing on navigating difficult and possibly challenging conversations with co-workers during this COVID-19 crisis. Tools provided and practiced during the session include: feelings as messengers (skills for emotional literacy) and the cooperative process (techniques to practice win-win outcomes while offering both positive and negative feedback). These tools will be presented in the context of how cross-cultural dynamics (i.e., gender, race/ethnicity, age, socioeconomics, sexual orientation, etc.) might also impact effective communications.
