Cultivating Your Emotional Intelligence

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is a term used to describe an individual’s degree of self-awareness and regulation of their emotions as well as their ability to recognize, understand and influence the emotions of others. Cultivating emotional intelligence is tied to professional success, adaptability and growth. This introductory training will provide an overview of the core capabilities of emotional intelligence, reflective activities for gaining insight about your current emotional intelligence capacity and strategies for enhancing these traits moving forward. All participants will be provided with digital copies of the training slides and materials after the session. Repeat session from Fall 2019.

About the Facilitator
Ginger is passionate about helping individuals and organizations achieve their potential through ongoing learning. She serves as the Director of Organizational Development and Training at SUNY New Paltz. Prior to her current role, she worked at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York University and the University of Wisconsin Madison in roles focusing on talent development for both students and staff. Ginger holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Southwestern University and a Masters of Arts in Cultural Studies from Carnegie Mellon University.
