NEW \u2013 SPS Google Scholarship<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Jocelyn Bell Burnell & SPS Leadership Scholarships<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n SPS Outstanding Undergraduate Research Award<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n SPS Outstanding Chapter Advisor Award<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Journal of Undergraduate Reports in Physics<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0(JURP) is an annual peer-reviewed publication of\u00a0SPS\u00a0which\u00a0publicly disseminates\u00a0the research of our undergraduate\u00a0SPS\u00a0members.\u00a0Papers\u00a0in\u00a0pure, applied, computational, and\/or theoretical physics and astronomy are eligible for submission.\u00a0\u00a0Submit your research today!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n There are some great scientific meetings coming up this spring and summer like APS March<\/a>, APS April<\/a>, AAS<\/a>, and AAPT<\/a>! SPS members have an opportunity to apply for the SPS Travel Award<\/a> of $300 to present their research at one of AIP\u2019s member society meetings<\/a>. Additionally, students may apply for the SPS Reporter Award<\/a> where they will report on national physics and astronomy meetings which can potentially be featured in one of the SPS publications, such as the SPS Observer<\/em>! You can apply for SPS Reporter awards as an individual and receive $300 or as a chapter (3 students max per chapter award) and receive up to $750 total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The SPS Council is the main governing body for the Society of Physics Students and Sigma Pi Sigma. The council composition was designed carefully with the student voice in mind. Be the voice of your region and help students across the globe! We encourage you to reach out to Sigma Pi Sigma chapters in your zone that have charters but haven\u2019t been active recently to consider making 2023 their comeback year! Additionally, induction is a great opportunity for chapters to invite alumni.
