Fareground is hosting our third\u2011annual Filling Empty Bowls<\/a> event on Saturday, November\u202f15, with sessions from 11:00\u202fa.m.\u201312:30\u202fp.m. and 1:00\u202fp.m.\u20132:30\u202fp.m. at St.\u202fMary\u2019s\u202fEpiscopal\u202fChurch (1\u202fChestnut\u202fStreet, Cold\u202fSpring,\u202fNY\u202f10516). This is a casual community lunch by local chefs, paired with a handmade market featuring gift-quality artisan goods, plus live acoustic music. The event raises funds and awareness for Fareground\u2019s food justice efforts in our region.<\/p>\n

This event brings together artists, neighbors, and food\u2011lovers for more than a meal\u2014it\u2019s a call to action. Guests choose from handcrafted bowls donated by area potters, enjoy the lunch, and take their bowl home as a tangible symbol of filling an empty bowl for someone else. Through participation you help support community meals, emergency food outreach, and our local tiny\u2011food\u2011pantry network. By attending, participants are supporting Fareground\u2019s mission to celebrate food and community for all while prioritizing dignity, equity, and sustainability. Fareground values compassion, inclusivity, and community care, and actively works to challenge systems of oppression, promote local agriculture, and reduce food waste.<\/p>\n

\u201cFilling Empty Bowls is both a fundraiser and another way we celebrate food and community with our neighbors. This event also highlights the work of local artisans and chefs who care deeply about food justice.\u201d<\/p>\n
