This opportunity is available during the Fall 2022 semester. This is an in person position.
Dutchess County Pride Center is a safe place for members of the LGBTQ+ community in Dutchess County, including LGBTQ+ youth, young adults and their families, and allies to feel comfortable and free to express themselves. Our goal is to support, educate and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, including LGBTQ+ youth and their families, through outreach, support groups and social events.

- Someone who can stay on top of the Dutchess Pride social media platforms!
Desired Skills: Students should be responsible and actively engaged in the work they have committed to doing. Ideally students would feel comfortable with various social media platforms, as well as feeling comfortable engaging with the public. The Dutchess County Pride Center work very closely with many other agencies, so students should be good team players and present themselves in a professional manner when dealing with team members on behalf of the organization. Students should have a strong connection to and understanding of the LGBTQ+ community and be comfortable with issues surrounding sexuality and gender identity and expression.
Hours: The times for this position are generally flexible, but availability for occasional evening, and very rarely weekend hours, is a plus; Students can register for either 0.5 unit or 1.0 unit of credit ( min. 40 hrs with org over the semester for + 30 hrs of academic work OR min. 80 hr over the semester with org + 60 hours of academic work)
