PoughETRY Fest Intern with Poet Gold & Co

This opportunity is available during the Spring 2022 semester. This opportunity can be conducted virtually and is only available for CEL credit.

BGW ArtC, LLC (soon to become Poet Gold & Co.) is a creative arts company with a focus to deliver media content and programming, as well as offer a bouquet of artists’ services and product/merchandise development support for our current artist and projects e.g. Poet Gold, Finding Out with Pete & The Poet Gold, PoughETRY Fest, and PoughETRY Fest TV.

Position Description:

PoughETRY Fest 2022 (poetry festival) will take place April 23rd, 2022, at the Cunneen Hackett Arts Center and online. PoughETRY Fest is a hybrid one-day festival, free and open to the public highlighting the art of poetry both written and spoken. It celebrates poetry past and present, and visitors experience the spirit and diverse voices reflected in today’s poetry. Interns will be responsible for social media engagement and Community Outreach to schools, literary groups, and community members to invite their participation in the 2022 festival. Interns will update and add content to the YouTube channel dedicated to PoughETRY Fest, as well as offer other administrative support.

Desired Skills:

  • An interest/foundation in the business of the performance arts, literary arts, and the visual arts
  • Basic knowledge in some of these areas: Canva (or similar graphic platform), Illustrator, Premiere Pro, social media, social media marketing, publishing, graphic arts, newsletter development, videography, or photography.
  • The student should have the skill to engage an audience on various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok – comment, like, announcements, create content for highly engaging stories).
  • Strong organizational skills and possess administrative skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.


  • Flexible. Monday (Anytime between 10 Am to 6 Pm), Tuesday (in person at iHeart 2 Pm – 4 Pm), Wed/Thurs/Fri (Predominately Virtual with the exception of PoughETRY Fest, which is a Saturday in-person event and online)
  • To get a better pulse of the local community, our interns should attend a few suggested community events.
