This opportunity is available during the Fall 2022 semester. Parts of this position can be conducted remotely.
Casa Comunitaria De Recursos/Reunite Migrant Families is a new organization whose goal is to offer health, education, housing and job services to the Latinx community of Dutchess County. They provide a safe and confidential space for consulting and administering free-of-charge services. Their mission is to enrich, educate and support the Latinx community in a place that honors the diverse strengths and human dignity of each person. All services and activities are in Spanish. This is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Dutchess’s Latinx grassroots community and culture. While introducing questions of power and privilege, Reunite Migrant Families also provides an opportunity for fully bilingual students to work with longtime Latinx community organizers engaged in providing services and leading activist initiatives.
Work with longtime Latinx community organizers in the city of Poughkeepsie for the purposes of expanding services to the Latinx communities in the areas of jobs, housing, migration services, health services, education and information access

- Motivated to help the Grassroots community
- Evenings and a weekend prefer. Possibility need a couple hours on a weekday
