Festival Intern with Kaatsbaan Cultural Park

This opportunity is available during Summer 2022. This opportunity cannot be conducted virtually and is only available for CEL credit.


The mission of Kaatsbaan Cultural Park is to provide an extraordinary environment for cultural innovation and excellence. As both an incubator for creativity and presenter for diverse world-class artists in dance, theater, music, film, poetry, culinary, media, and visual arts, Kaatsbaan provides artists with state-of-the-art dance studios, accommodations, an indoor theater, and two outdoor stages. Sitting on 153 Hudson River-adjacent acres, Kaatsbaan is free of urban facilities’ space and time constraints, allowing for exciting levels of artistic exploration, creative action, and achievement – just two hours north of New York City.

  • There are positions available in Box Office, Development, Production, and Artist Services.
  • Receive invaluable on-the-job training and experience towards your professional career in performance and festival production and arts administration.
  • Observe and work with world renowned artists in rehearsals and performances.
  • Attend all Festival performances and after-parties.
  • Work with long-time arts professionals and contribute to the growth of a dynamic arts organization.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience preferred but not required.
  • Interest in Kaatsbaan’s mission and commitment to serving the arts and its community.
  • Good communication skills & attention to detail, professional demeanor, flexible can-do attitude.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced festival environment with long hours on performance days.
  • Able to lift heavy items, work in inclement weather, use your own cell phone, have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)


  • The student MUST have a vehicle to drive themselves to the location.


  • The Schedule may vary depending on the position and availability. Working weekends on performance days is required. We will work with you to best accommodate your schedule.
  • A pair of students working together on this project would be ideal!
