DESCRIPTION:From its earliest years\, Vassar has encouraged students to learn by “going to the source.” This signature program will bring participants together to consider two guiding questions: \nHow might we foreground “going to the source” as central to the definition\, development\, and nurturing of institutional and individual character within contemporary learning institutions?\nIn this fractured time\, when AI and social media offer both opportunities and threats\, could “going to the source” provide a helpful lens and way to mitigate distrust and discord? \nJoin us for an opening keynote by Dr. Anton Treuer followed by a collaborative exploration of the broad applications and opportunities offered by Vassar’s long-standing approach and its potential to build character by affirming relational and generative learning.
