SUMMARY:Beyond Justice: A Community Training in Restorative Practices
DESCRIPTION:What is restorative justice? More than just a court alternative\, restorative practices teach us that we hold the power to build community safety\, resilience\, and communication. Join the Mediation Center of Dutchess County (MCDC) to learn and practice these skills! \nWe designed this training for everyday folks who work with others and want to improve their relational skills. Interested? Here are the basics: \n\nTraining will take place Wednesday\, 5/13\, Thursday 5/14\, Thursday\, 5/21\, and Friday 5/22\nTraining will run from 9 am – 4 pm each day\nTraining will be held at The Mediation Center of Dutchess County Office\, 205 South Avenue\, Suite 200\, Poughkeepsie\, NY\nThe cost of four days of training\, materials\, and meals is $600* per person (see our note on pricing below)\n\nPlease note: all four days are required\, as each day builds upon the previous.\nMCDC’s four-day training will provide: \n\nA foundation in restorative methods\, including Circle practice\nTime for breaks\, conversations\, and connections\nOpportunities to do this important work\nCatered lunch for each of the days\n\n\nPricing Note \nThe Mediation Center of Dutchess County is deeply committed to accessibility. This training has been redesigned for people of all experiences and backgrounds to build an understanding of restorative practices. \nTo further our mission of providing people with the tools they need to address conflict\, we have reserved a limited number of seats at a sliding scale price for this training.
