This training will cover key topics such as stigma around substance use\, the NYS 911 Good Samaritan Laws\, overdose risk factors\, how to recognize and respond to an overdose\, how to properly administer naloxone\, and how to report its use. \nTraining Objectives: \nIncrease awareness of the impact of fatal opioid overdoses in the community\nIdentify overdose risk factors\nRecognize signs of a suspected overdose\nLearn the five essential steps for first responders\, based on the SAMHSA Opioid Overdose Prevention Toolkit\nGain the skills to correctly administer naloxone and help save lives \nRegistration required.
