DESCRIPTION:At the Wellness Shines on the Green annual event\, our goal is to connect local practitioners with the Newburgh Community. There will be something for everyone\, regardless of your level of fitness\, personal goals\, or time constraints. Join us for free screenings\, treatments\, and classes\, and discover information on low-cost options. We provide a low-pressure social atmosphere to encourage community connections\, mutual support\, and education\, empowering everyone to make the best choices for themselves!\nWe’re excited to invite you to participate in the fifth annual Wellness Shines on the Green\, a gathering of local businesses that provide healthcare\, fitness\, nutrition\, and other holistic or wellness services. It’s a great way to come together and showcase the resources available for healthy living in the Newburgh community! The event will take place on Saturday\, May 10th\, from 10am to 5pm\, at Safe Harbors’ Green. \nWe will be part of Spring Into Newburgh\, a city-wide celebration of the season featuring special events\, workshops\, tastings\, the Art on the Block outdoor art market\, and the Newburgh Farmer’s Market\, as well as the 2025 Run for the Green\, hosted by Safe Harbors on the Hudson.

DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, May 10 – 6:30-7:30 p.m.\nUlster Welcome Center\n87 Haviland Road\, Highland\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll ages are invited to come roll up your sleeves and get grounded with the Vassar College Environmental Cooperative on Friday\, May 9 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Ulster Welcome Center (87 Haviland Road\, Highland). Find out about simple ways to support pollinators like butterflies and bees right in your own backyard. Participants will learn all about native plants\, decorate their own pot\, and receive a seedling to take home (while supplies last). \nThe Environmental Cooperative at the Vassar Barns works to strengthen place-based awareness of nature in Hudson Valley. They work with the College\, the Preserve\, the City of Poughkeepsie\, and local community-based organizations to connect people with the outdoors. By supporting conservation efforts and facilitating youth programs\, they strive to inspire deeper engagement in the natural world while fostering a mindset of environmental stewardship. \n\nAll Walkway Connections events are free to attend and suitable for all ages.
