What do we build with this wreckage? \nJoin artist and researcher Sa’dia Rehman for an interdisciplinary conversation about art and architecture\, ecocatastrophe\, and the law with Azra Dawood (Andrew W. Mellon Curator of Academic Programs) and Arpitha Kodiveri (Assistant Professor of Political Science and author of Governing Forests).

SUMMARY:May Day Strong Hudson Valley
DESCRIPTION:“They’re trying to strip us of everything working people have fought for—schools\, healthcare\, safety nets\, union rights—and hand it over to billionaires\,” says Barbara Walsh of Hudson Valley Strong-Indivisible\, one of the groups co-sponsoring the Poughkeepsie action on May 1. “We’re not standing for it. May Day is about reclaiming our future.” \nThe Poughkeepsie rally kicks off at 6 pm on May 1 at Victor C. Waryas Park\, joining more than 340 coordinated protests nationwide. Other actions are scheduled throughout May across the region in Kingston\, Newburgh\, New Paltz\, New Windsor\, Middletown\, and Great Barrington\, and Peekskill. In every case\, the message is the same: The race to the bottom stops here.
