DESCRIPTION:Dutchess County Comptroller Dan Aymar-Blair will be hosting the first two in a series of ‘Comptroller’s Town Halls’ for Dutchess County residents in the coming months\, the first of which will be held at the VFW Hall in Beacon\, NY on Wednesday\, April 23rd at 6 PM. The second will be held at the Millbrook Library on Wednesday\, May 28th at 5:30 PM. Residents are encouraged to attend to learn more about the functions of the Comptroller’s Office and why it matters to taxpayers. DESCRIPTION:It’s time we break up with billionaires as best we can. It’s an abusive relationship: we give more than we receive in return\, and it leaves us vulnerable to all sorts of attacks. Let’s cut those strings\, and tie ourselves to each other instead by making new networks of support. \nWe’re gathering to support each other logging out\, cancelling subscriptions\, deleting accounts\, and tapping into free and non-exploitative resources. We’ll gas each other up\, share info\, and celebrate being so much better off without them in all the ways we can help it. If you’re not sure whether/how you can make these adjustments\, bring those questions with you!
