Animal Sanctuary Intern with Red Robin Song Animal Sanctuary

This opportunity is available during the Fall 2022 semester. This is an in person position.

Red Robin Song Animal Sanctuary: “Our mission is to provide a forever home for rescued farm and domestic animals. We also rehabilitate injured and orphaned beavers and prepare them for release back into the wild. In addition, we work to educate the public about the many things they can do to make this a better world for animals while striving to improve our planet and the health of human kind.”

Location: 94 Schoolhouse Rd, New Lebanon, NY 12125

Position Description:

Are you interested in helping animals? Join the Red Robin Sanctuary team this fall! Students have the opportunity to assist with the maintenance and enhancement of this sanctuary which is home to yaks, pigs, rabbits, goats, cats, dogs, and a mini horse and mini donkey! Note: The varied tasks and activities at the sanctuary are almost always outdoors.

The team is a completely volunteer-run non-profit organization and could use a few extra hands to help make the best environment for the animals possible.

An excellent opportunity for anyone interested in animal care or a career in veterinary care.

Requirements: Students must have a car to drive to the location (about 1.25 hrs away)

Hours: Students can register for either 0.5 unit or 1.0 unit of credit ( min. 40 hours over the semester for 0.5 unit + 30 hrs of academic work or min. 80 hours over the semester for 1.0 unit + 60 hours of academic work) Weekend shifts are available.
