What is mathematics? In these lectures we will consider some elementary ideas that lead to sometimes deep, always fun, mathematical ideas. No previous exposure is required beyond what we all learned in high school (not that you will have to remember).
John McCleary is Emeritus Professor of Mathematics at Vassar College. He is the author of several books on mathematical topics and on the history of mathematics.
