Allow me to introduce\u00a0Joseph Bushell Tanski<\/a>, born on August 29, 2009.\u00a0Joey!<\/a><\/p>\n

I can often be found at crystallography conferences….<\/p>\n

In 2005, I attended the\u00a020th Congress of the International Union of Crystallography\u00a0in\u00a0Florence, Italy.<\/p>\n

Turns out he was right, and now he’s\u00a0buried<\/a>\u00a0across town in\u00a0Santa Croce<\/a>, but his\u00a0middle finger<\/a>\u00a0rests in Florence’s History of Science Museum<\/a>, making a final statement.<\/p>\n

In the summer of 2007, I traveled to\u00a0Erice, Sicily<\/a>, to take part in the\u00a039th Course of the International School of Crystallography<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0crystal engineering<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In October 2008, I attended the\u00a0Bruker Users Meeting, at Delft,\u00a0The Netherlands.<\/p>\n

2009: American Crystallographic Association meeting in Toronto, Canada.<\/p>\n

2011:\u00a0American Crystallographic Association meeting in\u00a0New Orleans.<\/p>\n

In August, 2011, I attended the\u00a0Twenty-Second Congress and General Assembly of the International Union of Crystallography, in Madrid, Spain.<\/p>\n

2012:\u00a0American Crystallographic Association meeting in\u00a0Boston.<\/p>\n

2013:\u00a0American Crystallographic Association meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii, July, 2013.<\/p>\n

2014:\u00a0Twenty-Third Congress and General Assembly of the International Union of Crystallography, in Montreal, Canada, August 2014.<\/p>\n

2015: American Crystallographic Association meeting in Philadelphia, PA, July, 2015, where I co-chaired\u00a0a session with Roger Rowlett on engaging undergraduates with crystallographic research.<\/p>\n

In 2016, X-ray crystallography with undergraduates sessions at ACA and ACS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

2020:\u00a0 ACS Philly (cancelled due to Covid-19), ACA San Diego (virtual meeting)<\/a>, and IUCr Prague (moved to 2021 as hybrid).<\/p>\n
