As a proud OIS intern, I could not refuse. However, I\u2019m at that point of the Vassar journey where I am severely burnt out, homesick, drowning in academic papers, documents &amp; paperwork, and so on. No matter how much I sleep I cannot get enough rest. This is normal and I can\u2019t do much about it except endure. In other words, I can\u2019t write an extensive blog post \u2014 but I can offer you a glimpse into my notes.&nbsp;<br \/>This note is called Firsts in America.&nbsp;<br \/>&#8211; seeing a possum<br \/>&#8211; seeing a groundhog<br \/>&#8211; seeing a crane<br \/>&#8211; seeing a chipmunk<br \/>&#8211; seeing an eagle<br \/>&#8211; eating grilled cheese<br \/>&#8211; eating tomato soup<br \/>&#8211; eating caramel popcorn<br \/>&#8211; eating ranch<br \/>&#8211; using an Apple device<br \/>&#8211; riding the subway<br \/>&#8211; riding the schoolbus<br \/>&#8211; riding in an automatic car<br \/>&#8211; eating with chopsticks<br \/>&#8211; eating Korean and Japanese food<br \/>&#8211; eating brisket<br \/>&#8211; eating onion rings<br \/>&#8211; eating tortilla chips and dip<br \/>&#8211; bowling<br \/>&#8211; seeing a raccoon<br \/>&#8211; seeing a beaver<br \/><br \/>Take care of yourselves y\u2019all \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was asked to write a blog post for the OIS.
