Human Participants Training and Education Requirement<\/h3>\n

Training in human subjects research is strongly recommended.\u00a0 Key personnel on NIH-funded human subjects research are required to obtain such training, even if the research is exempt from IRB review.<\/p>\n

Here is one available training option:<\/b><\/p>\n

If you are using the CITI website for the first time, follow these instructions:<\/p>\n

1. Click on the \u201cRegister\u201d link on the top right corner of the page.<\/p>\n

2. Complete items 1-4 of the registration process and click \u201cSubmit.\u201d For item 1 of the registration process, you should select \u201cVassar College.\u201d<\/p>\n

3. Click \u201cNO\u201d to earning CE credits.<\/p>\n

4. Under \u201cRole In Research,\u201d choose \u201cYour Category\u201d [e.g. student researcher, faculty, etc.]<\/p>\n

5. The questions under \u201cSelect Curriculum\u201d enroll you in CITI program courses. Leave Questions 1, 3, and 8 blank. For Question 2, select \u201cType of investigation\u201d [Most often Social-Behavioral Research] For Questions 4, 5, and 6, select \u201cNot at this time.\u201d And for Question 7, check \u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n

6. After you have checked all the appropriate boxes, Click \u201cSubmit\u201d and then \u201cFinalize Registration.\u201d You will then be redirected to take the required training modules.<\/p>\n

7. Under Vassar College Courses, you will see the training course for \u201cYour research category\u201d [Most often Social-Behavioral Research] Select this course to begin your training.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
