To make the most of your Vassar retirement savings benefits, you need to know how to use the plan and manage your accounts.  Even more important, you need to know why you’re saving:  what are your goals?  What does a good retirement mean to you?

Leslie Power, who directs Vassar’s retirement plans, will cover the “how.”  We’ll focus on the overall plan, the vendors and the investments and what steps are most important in managing your savings.

Doug Eaton, a licensed fiduciary and financial advisor, will talk about the “why.”  We’ll work from goals to plans to portfolios, and apply basic investing advice.
