As always\u00a0<strong>Al Nowak<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Thom Murcko<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Robin DeGroat<\/strong>\u00a0from On Location Studios in Poughkeepsie, NY,\u00a0 for their ongoing help in all things photographic. \u00a0\u00a0for all his hard work in getting me started on the way to this site.<\/p>\n<p>Vassar College\u00a0 in myriad ways \u2013 First and foremost\u00a0<strong>Ken Bolton,<\/strong>\u00a0 as the Curator of the Media Cloisters, without whose help, expertise and good humor this site would never have been brought to fruition. Under his auspices in the 1990s, a number of students worked n the site,\u00a0<strong> Chris Joslyn<\/strong> and <strong>Michael Pepe-Mooney<\/strong> helped with design issues,\u00a0 Chris also with some difficult scanning\u00a0 solutions. Later on with\u00a0<strong>Tiffany Chow<\/strong>\u00a0at their helm the following students worked on getting the marks and scratches and repairing some of my\u00a0 older and messed up images:\u00a0<strong>Stephanie Yee, Aaron Gilson, Samantha Calvano.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Everyone at Computing &amp; Information Services for their cooperation, particularly\u00a0<strong>Steve Taylor<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Barbara Page<\/strong>, in her position as the faculty director of the Media Cloisters in the mid 1990s, for renewing the Cloisters policy of helping faculty members with their various projects. And again to\u00a0<strong>Vassar College<\/strong>\u00a0for hosting this site. \u00a0<strong>Steve Litt, \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>who when a student at Vassar in 2005 was helpful.<\/p>\n<p>Because this site is very active other people help me in various capacities along the way.\u00a0 I will add them as they come into the picture.\u00a0<strong>Cristian Opazo<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 starting in the fall of 2006, has taken Ken Bolton\u2019s place in overseeing the site at Vassar College \u2013 He makes sure it is saved often and that the server is acting correctly for the site.\u00a0 We also met once a week during the school year to go over various issues as they arise.\u00a0 Ken is now at Columbia University, I assume being as terrific there as he was at Vassar. \u00a0Since this was written I am pretty sure that Ken has gone into business for himself.\u00a0<strong>Joe Letourneau<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 as an aspect of his internship with me at Vassar (fall 2006-spring 2007) this year has scanned mucho images and negatives for me and did an excellent job.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amy Laughlin<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0started at Vassar in her position as \u00a0Academic Computer Consultant in the spring of 2013. \u00a0She has also been helpful in numbers of ways.<\/p>\n<p>In 2011\u00a0<strong>Joanna DiPaquale<\/strong>\u00a0came to Vassar as the Digital Initiatives Librarian, a then new position at Vassar, and has been extremely helpful in many ways in managing and upgrading the site as well as engaging in discussions for the site\u2019s eventual future.<\/p>\n<p>A thank you for all of my friends and acquaintances for putting up with my sometimes intrusive photographing as well as helping me with names of people. \u00a0This sometimes takes the form of an email from me asking such questions as \u2013 Do you remember the name of the person you were sitting next to at dinner in this photograph taken in 1986? \u00a0 This is a never-ending \u00a0(well, until I \u00a0do actually end) process on which I am always playing catch-up.<\/p>\n<p>I apologize to those of you who I have failed to mention and who have been very helpful with this site.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This site (as is everything else) is dedicated to my wife\u00a0Catherine Murphy.
