{"id":614,"date":"2011-09-15T22:00:48","date_gmt":"2011-09-16T02:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.vassar.edu\/haitiproject\/?p=614"},"modified":"2011-09-15T22:00:48","modified_gmt":"2011-09-16T02:00:48","slug":"i-remembered-why-i-love-the-vassar-haiti-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/haitiproject\/2011\/09\/i-remembered-why-i-love-the-vassar-haiti-project\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;I remembered why I love the Vassar Haiti Project.&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>VP for Operations Lauren MacLean &#8217;12 reflects on the recent sale at St. John&#8217;s Church in Washington Connecticut.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When I first realized we were trying to hold a sale  one of our first weekends back at Vassar, I was extremely nervous  because I had forgotten how amazing VHP students are. \u00a0But as I watched  the sign-ups fill up, I knew that this was going to be a great sale.  \u00a0Driving up to Connecticut was a great way to bond with other members,  and when we first walked into the sale room, we were all struck by how  beautiful the room was. \u00a0Paintings of all different colors hung on the  walls and light reflected on the beautiful ironwork sculptures, making  the entire room full of cheerfulness.
