to sing in the Vassar College Chapel this Friday, September 24th!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/haitiproject\/files\/2010\/09\/lespetitschanteurs1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-275\" title=\"lespetitschanteurs\" src=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/haitiproject\/files\/2010\/09\/lespetitschanteurs1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/haitiproject\/files\/2010\/09\/lespetitschanteurs1.jpg 500w, https:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/haitiproject\/files\/2010\/09\/lespetitschanteurs1-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Art drives the Vassar Haiti Project.\u00a0 Members of the VHP are lucky enough to constantly be working with colorful paintings and handicrafts that capture Haitian vibrancy.\u00a0 Haiti\u2019s creative, artistic culture extends past the visual arts, though.\u00a0 Music is an essential, even more accessible form of artistic expression that Haiti prizes.\u00a0 This weekend, in a very special VHP-sponsored event, a choir of young men from Haiti will be bringing their music directly to the Vassar campus in a live concert celebrating Haitian spirit, courage, and resilience.<\/p>\n<p>The chorus, Les Petits Chanteurs and Chamber Ensemble, is composed of 30 students and young men from the Holy Trinity Music School in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.\u00a0 The group is embarking on a 30-day tour of the East Coast, giving concerts and raising money to rebuild their school, which was ruined in last January\u2019s earthquake.\u00a0 100% of the proceeds of the concert will go to the reconstruction of Holy Trinity, Haiti\u2019s only music school.<\/p>\n<p>Les Petits Chanteurs will be performing in the Vassar College Chapel at 7 pm on Friday, September 24<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Come enjoy their music, celebrate their dedication, and be a part of the enormous energy of Haiti and the VHP!<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Les Petits Chanteurs<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Vassar College Chapel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, September 24<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>7 pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Tickets:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Adults-<\/strong> $10<\/p>\n<p><strong>Children (under 18) <\/strong>&#8211;
