It&#8217;s time to export! We recommend that you first duplicate your sequence and rename it <strong>&#8220;Sequence Name + Export + Date&#8221;<\/strong> and set an in and out point for the length of your sequence. A good file name (like\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Proj_Export_200205&#8221;<\/strong>) tells you everything you need to know and allows you to keep track of when it was created.<\/li>\n<li>Select a format in the <strong>&#8220;Format&#8221;<\/strong> drop-down menu and a codec preset in the<strong> &#8220;Preset&#8221;<\/strong> drop down menu.<\/li>\n<li>Double check that <strong>&#8220;Match Source&#8221;<\/strong> is selected in <strong>&#8220;Basic Video Settings&#8221;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click the &#8220;Export&#8221; button at the bottom for the Export Settings dialog box.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Vassar Film production classes export in two different formats:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>H.264<\/strong> is the best export setting for in-class viewing and uploading or sharing.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a highly compressed codec so the file size is usually nice and small.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Format: <\/span><b>H.264<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Preset: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><b>High Quality 1080P HD<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Basic Video Settings: Choose <strong>&#8220;Match Source&#8221;<\/strong> or set resolution to <strong>&#8220;1920&#215;1080&#8221;<\/strong> and <strong>&#8220;Frame Rate&#8221;<\/strong> to\u00a0<\/span><b>23.98<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QuickTime Apple ProRes 422 HQ<\/strong>\u00a0is a less compressed intraframe codec.
