Study Abroad

Policies for Film Majors

  1. Language Programs: Students who participate in a foreign language program to France, Italy, Spain, etc.—may have the opportunity to study non-US cinema while abroad. Students may apply to their advisor to have this class count as their non-US cinema course towards the major.
  2. Media-Specific Study Abroad Programs: Students may count two units towards the major if these units lie in two distinct areas of our curriculum, such as screenwriting and film production or film studies and film production. Study Abroad units for credit cannot be concentrated in one field. Extra units will count towards graduation.
