With these tools, students can more easily observe the drawing and modification of graphs in real time and the steps involved in the solution of mathematical equations. The ability to record the sessions is also very helpful for students who would like to refer to them later. In addition, I use the Ipad and the pencil to grade exams and comment on electronic homework submissions. They are also very useful for exchanging ideas for research purposes, making it easier to take notes on academic papers and sharing them with colleagues.
