I also use it as a &#8220;whiteboard&#8221; for office hours discussions (our notes are then recorded electronically and can be shared with the student) and for responding to e-mailed questions from students (where the responses can&#8217;t be typed in e-mail text only). In the future, I&#8217;d like to expand my use of the tablet. e.g. record instructional videos.<\/p>\n<p>For research purposes, I use the table to keep notes in meetings, exchanges comments on papers with collaborators and annotate articles I read.<\/p>\n<p>The iPad Pro and Apple pencil are easy to use and have been helpful for communicating with students and keeping track of notes, while reducing paper waste.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Awardee: Ming-Wen An Semester of Award: Spring 2018 Materials Awarded: 10.5-inch iPad Pro Apple pencil Project Description: For teaching purposes, I use the tablet to comment on PDF homework submissions.
