Project Description:<\/b><\/p>\n

In the Physics and Astronomy department, we used the tablets as a platform on which students could record and self-narrate the solution of introductory to intermediate physics problems.<\/p>\n

Recorded student problems were used for<\/p>\n

* information gathering by faculty trying to determine students’ areas of strengths and weaknesses
\n* preliminary data for a proposal to the national science foundation (the proposal was not funded)
\n* assessment of one of our department’s learning outcomes<\/p>\n

The project was effective and we expect that we will continue to use this technique for assessment activities.<\/p>\n
