B.S. Chemistry from Providence College, 1998.
Ph.D. in Chemistry from Penn State University, 2003. Research in self assembly and molecular electronics with Paul S. Weiss. 
Thesis title: Probing nanoscale electronics using scanning tunneling microscopy
Post-doctoral research at Penn State University, 2003-2004. Applied research with biomolecular motors for directed microtubule transport with Will Hancock.
