We&#8217;ll use Final Cut Pro to put together recordings of our voices combined with images. Final Cut Pro is a professional grade video editing tool.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objective:<\/strong> Participants will create narrated slideshows in Final Cut Pro.<\/p>\n<h2>Stage I<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Record yourself reading one of the <a href=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/digital-literacies\/files\/2012\/10\/3-poems.pdf\">three poems<\/a> in Audacity.<\/li>\n<li>Export the .aiff file to a directory called &#8220;Poem1&#8221; in the Save Here directory. Put all your files for today there.<\/li>\n<li>Import the .aiff file into Final Cut Pro (hereafter called FCP).<\/li>\n<li>Find three images to go with your poem. Download them to your Poem1 folder.<\/li>\n<li>Export your FCP video as a quicktime video.<\/li>\n<li>Publish to YouTube or Vimeo and post to to our WordPress site, categorize it as &#8220;Poetry Slideshow&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Stage II\u00a0 &#8211; Please pick 1 OR 2 (not both).<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Find your own poem, record yourself reading it, and then find images to go along with it.<\/li>\n<li>Write your own poem, record yourself reading it, and then find images to go along with it.\u00a0Add music if you like.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is our third workshop.
