We\u2019re going on a trip to the past, because what are gloomy days if not for remembrance? One of the Met\u2019s past photography Special Exhibitions features Leon Levinstein, one of \u201cthe unsung photographers of the twentieth century.\u201d Despite existing in relative obscurity by choice (you won\u2019t find a Wikipedia page on him), Levinstein\u2019s works are part of museums\u2019 collections such as MoMA, The Art Institute of Chicago, and the Met. He devoted his time to capturing candids and figure studies in New York City neighborhoods.
