This particular broadcast discusses teachers in the context of movies and, thus, is aptly called &#8220;What the Movies Taught Us About Teaching.&#8221; The template for teachers and their relationships with their students in films has changed over time. NPR movie critic Bob Mondello takes us on a journey through that change featuring sound bites from various films. From\u00a0<em>Blackboard Jungle<\/em> (1955) with Glenn Ford to\u00a0<em>School of Rock\u00a0<\/em>(2003) with Jack Black to\u00a0<em>Whiplash\u00a0<\/em>(2014) with J. K. Simmons, follow Mondello on this journey.
