After what was (we hope!) a restful Thanksgiving break, you may find yourself tempted to throw every waking moment and all of your energy into accomplishing your goals for this semester, particularly if you&#8217;ve fallen behind a bit (and who hasn&#8217;t?). <a title=\"Mental Downtime\" href=\"http:\/\/www.scientificamerican.com\/article\/mental-downtime\/\" target=\"_blank\">An essay in Scientific American<\/a> suggests that actually what you need with a lot on your plate is a commitment to mental downtime. Give yourself a little mental break, read the article, and then remember to incorporate a bit of balance into your plan of attack for the rest of term.
