We hope that these intensives will\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000\">leverage partner expertise <\/span>and knowledge\u00a0 and offer avenues for collaboration between local organizations and faculty.<\/p>\n<p>Community partners are invited to submit proposals that would allow for faculty collaboration and consultation on needs and interests of their organizations or on pressing social issues in the community.<\/p>\n<p>Proposals may include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>requests for research (e.g. a food security survey)<\/li>\n<li>development of new project ideas, and<\/li>\n<li>capacity building on a project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Unlike the community-engaged learning program, where community partners determine the nature of the work that a student might do as an intern or volunteer with their organization,\u00a0 , we hope that through the intensives, community partners will collaborate with faculty to co-create experiential work and learning opportunities for students.<\/p>\n<p>Although there is no deadline for submissions, proposals take 3-6 months to be implemented.
