{"id":437,"date":"2018-07-18T11:36:03","date_gmt":"2018-07-18T15:36:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/catchoftheday\/?p=437"},"modified":"2018-07-18T11:36:03","modified_gmt":"2018-07-18T15:36:03","slug":"online-access-locked","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/catchoftheday\/online-access-locked\/","title":{"rendered":"Online Access Locked"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have received reports of a new phishing email that looks like it is from JP Morgan Chase, with the subject line &#8220;Online Access Locked&#8221;.\u00a0 If you received this message, please email it to <a href=\"mailto:catchoftheday@vassar.edu\">catchoftheday@vassar.edu<\/a> so an incident can be opened and a screenshot posted on this website.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, remember our past advice:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Always examine the link! Look at the information in your web browser to determine whether or not the site you are directed to is a Vassar site or an unknown (or suspicious) one.<\/li>\n<li>A phone call to the alleged sender would quickly verify whether or not an email is legitimate. It only takes a few minutes to pick up the phone!<\/li>\n<li>Report it as phishing to Google. Before deleting the message, make sure to click on \u201creport phishing\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>A little paranoia goes a long way!
