Barbara Ransby, Distinguished Professor of History, African American
\nStudies, and Gender and Women’s Studies at the University of Illinois
\nat Chicago will be delivering a lecture as part of the Social Justice
\nin Question Lecture Series. The title of her talk is “Social Justice
\nand Freedom-making in the 21st Century: Lessons from Martin Luther
\nKing, Jr, Ella Baker, and The Black Lives Matter Movement.”<\/p>\n
She is author of Ella Baker and the Black Freedom Movement: A Radical
\nDemocratic Vision; Eslanda: The Large and Unconventional Life of Mrs.
\nPaul Robeson; and Making All Black Lives Matter: Reimagining Freedom
\nin the 21st Century. Dr. Ransby is also the President of the National
