e mission of the Black Students’ Union (BSU) is to be an uplifting and productive environment for the Black-identifying community of Vassar College. BSU promotes proactive leadership, scholarship, community outreach and student empowerment. BSU takes pride in working to develop a lasting appreciation of social, moral, intellectual, and most of all, cultural values that will elevate the Black student in their pursuit of academia. We are dedicated to eradicating ignorance toward a plurality of black identities, and to promote positive change through education, motivation, and advocacy for Black students at Vassar. BSU membership is open to any Vassar student who is strongly committed to the mission of the organization.<\/p>\n
