\u00a0Well, I can&#8217;t speak to anyone else&#8217;s personal tastes or decorative styles, but I can show you around my house and dorm room! \u00a0Hopefully this will give you some idea about what dorm living is like at Vassar, and then you can make your own poster\/photo\/lighting choices from there!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/admissions\/?attachment_id=747\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-747\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"Cushing House 3\" src=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/admissions\/files\/2013\/04\/photo-3-400x400.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is my second year in Cushing House, and I&#8217;ve really grown to love its cozy charm and unique quirks. \u00a0And, of course, many of the people here have become like family. \u00a0It&#8217;s great to come home at the end of every day, walk into the downstairs &#8220;Great Hall,&#8221; and see my little house community. \u00a0Many of these people have lived here with me since the first day of my freshman year, and we all know each other pretty well by this point. \u00a0Cushing isn&#8217;t on the main residential quad, and looks a little different from other dorms, but I think it&#8217;s beautiful (Hogwarts, anyone?!) \u00a0Look at that picture of Cushing in the snow! \u00a0It has so much character.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/admissions\/?attachment_id=746\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-746\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-746 aligncenter\" alt=\"Cushing House 2\" src=\"http:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/admissions\/files\/2013\/04\/photo-2-400x400.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/admissions\/files\/2013\/04\/photo-2-400x400.jpg 400w, https:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/admissions\/files\/2013\/04\/photo-2-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/pages.vassar.edu\/admissions\/files\/2013\/04\/photo-2-1024x1024.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This year, as a sophomore, I was able to get a single room. \u00a0I live in a hallway called the SQ&#8217;s (short for &#8211; crazy, I know &#8211; the servants&#8217; quarters) with a bunch of other sophomores and juniors. \u00a0I came into this year knowing that I wanted to make my room my own personal little oasis, my happy place!
