Student says: In general, I would say yes as long as the student is proactive. My personal experience is that AEO is very accommodating and helpful as long as you notify them appropriately and with enough time and keep them updated about how you are doing. I think students that meet with academic coaches probably receive better accommodations however because they have the support of someone within AEO and are meeting with them frequently enough that their coach can suggest accommodations before something becomes too much of a problem. I also think that in some cases when accommodations are delayed (such as when accommodation letters are not sent out right at the beginning of the semester), it is because the office is overworked, which is more the fault of the college rather than AEO.
