Education & Music double major

Education correlate

After graduating from Vassar in 2023, I knew I wanted to continue working in college access and diversity, equity, and inclusion. As such, I’ve taken on different roles within these realms.

Inspired by my time as an Intern for Vassar’s LGBTQ+ and Gender Resources Center, my first job straight out of college was as the Gender and Attraction Initiatives Fellow for the Multicultural Resource Common at Oberlin College and Conservatory. In this role, I supported queer and trans students of color through community events and programming. After this contract, I spent the summer of 2024 at Brown University’s Pre-College Program as a Program Assistant where I helped high school students get a sense of college life and academics. Most recently, I moved to Providence, Rhode Island where I now work as a High School Advisor for Onward We Learn, an education non-profit. As the purveyor of GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs), I work with first-generation, low-income high school students in Rhode Island, supporting them in their journey towards postsecondary schooling and success.

Throughout all of these experiences, I’ve utilized so many of the skills I’ve learned through the research team and from Professor Rueda to whom I am eternally grateful. For the future, I hope to continue my education through a graduate program. Outside of work, I am still baking, writing music, and reading way too much YA fantasy romance novels.
