Sociology Major
Just a week or so after graduating from Vassar, I started working at Vassar’s Office of Admission as an admission counselor. I had worked in the office throughout my time as a student, so the transition felt quite seamless. It was quite the experience seeing the behind-the-scenes of the admission process I had just gone through a few years before.
Wanting to experience a new environment, this past fall I made the decision to transition to Emory University’s (my sister’s alma mater!) Office of Undergraduate Admission as an Admission Advisor. I have had a great time exploring Atlanta and learning more about admission in this new context!
In both offices, my project area (outside of your normal reading applications and traveling to high schools & college fairs) has been focused on college access. Some of the most rewarding work I get to do is guiding FGLI students through their college application process and sharing more about the great resources students can find at institutions like Emory and Vassar.
